About the Photographer

Like many other photographers, Wayne began photography as a hobby. And as many hobbyists before him, he is self-taught through reading, workshops, photography classes, and experience. As he became more serious, he began selling the images created while visiting the National Parks and when “practicing” around his hometown of San Pedro in southern California. Image Crafters Photography was begun in 1992 and we began to make the arts and crafts fair circuit. This was fun and quite interesting (we met a lot of wonderful people), but not very profitable so our efforts shifted into other areas such as event and architectural photography. This was so exciting and rewarding that after almost forty years of teaching Wayne decided to retire to work photography full time.
